We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the execution of Cellcolabs’ bioreactor scale-up and facility build-out program. This is a senior leadership role with end-to-end responsibility for one of the company’s most critical and transformative initiatives. The role requires exceptional project leadership skills, strong technical and operational understanding of biotech manufacturing, and the ability to drive complex, cross-functional programs in a fast-moving and entrepreneurial environment.

Cellcolabs is a pioneering biotech company focused on the development and manufacturing of mesenchymal stem cell-based therapies. Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) have shown groundbreaking potential to cure and treat a myriad of diseases and ailments. Our mission is to industrialize high-quality cell therapy manufacturing to enable global clinical and commercial use. As part of this journey, we are scaling up a next-generation, bioreactor-based production platform through the BRX program, covering process development, assay development, lab and facility construction, and GMP readiness.

Cellcolabs is based on 20 years of research from Karolinska Institutet and is approved for GMP production of ATMPs by the Swedish Medical Products Agency. The Role

As BRX Program Lead, you will own the delivery of the full BRX project portfolio, covering all phases from design to implementation. You will provide strategic oversight across multiple concurrent projects, each led by its own project manager, and lead the planning and execution of both the development laboratory and the GMP production facility. Your role will focus on coordinating at the program level—bridging priorities, timelines, and resources across internal and external stakeholders.

This is a hands-on leadership role at the heart of Cellcolabs’ industrialization strategy.

This full-time permanent position reports to the CPO and is based in the office in Stockholm, Sweden, and includes international travelling. 

Key Responsibilities

• Full program ownership of the BRX program, including strategic coordination of projects for process development, potency assay development, facility construction (lab and production) and technology transfer.

• Build and lead multidisciplinary teams of project managers and SMEs across process, QA, QC, regulatory, and facility design.

• Align cross-functional deliverables to internal timelines, GMP compliance, and regulatory milestones.

• Manage budgets, risk, resources, and internal/external stakeholder communication.

• Secure structured reporting to management, grant providers, and project steering groups.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in project or program management in biotech, pharmaceutical, or advanced therapy settings.

• Proven leadership in complex, multi-stakeholder build-out and scale-up projects, including GMP facility construction.

• Deep understanding of biotech/ATMP production processes, GMP compliance, and technology transfer in regulated environments.

• Experience building and leading cross-functional teams, including external partners and consultants.

• Strong business judgment, communication skills, and ability to operate strategically and tactically.

• Fluent in English (Swedish is a plus).

• PMP or similar certification is an advantage.
